Nicky Grixti u Stevie Camilleri jirbħu l-unur tal-BOV Premier

L-Unur tal-BOV l-ewwel diviżjoni jmur għand Claudio Spiteri Debarro

Żewġ plejers rebħu l-unur tal-BOV Plejer tax-Xahar tal-Water Polo għal Ġunju 2015, l-ewwel darba li ġara dan minn mindu tnieda dan l-unur. Stevie Camilleri (Neptunes Grimaldi) u Nicky Grixti (Sirens Ritter Sport) rebħu l-unur għall-BOV Premier Division.

Camilleri ċertament m’għandu bżonn l-ebda introduzzjoni għal dan l-unur fejn diġa rebħu diversi drabi. L-attakkant ta’ Neptunes skorja xejn anqas minn 17-il gowl f’Ġunju sabiex Neptunes żammew il-pressjoni fin-naħa ta’ fuq tal-klassifika.

Serje ta’ saves spettakolari mill-gowlkiper ta’ Sirens Nicky Grixti għamluh għażla awtomatika għal dan l-unur. Il-captain tat-tim nazzjonali ta’ taħt id-19-il sena kien pedina mportantissima fir-rebħa ta’ Sirens fuq Sliema, kif ukoll kellu prestazzjoni ferm tajba kontra San Ġiljan fejn Sirens tilfu b’gowl wieħed biss.

Logħob konsistenti minn Claudio Spiteri Debarro ta’ Marsaxlokk Fischer wassallu l-unur għall-ewwel diviżjoni. Spiteri Debarro għen lil Marsaxlokk ikomplu jagħfsu għat-titlu speċjalment il-ħames gowls tiegħu kontra Otters.

Paul Gauci, Kap Eżekuttiv taċ-Ċentru tat-taħriġ tal-Bank of Valletta u Joe Caruana Curran, President tal-Assoċjazzjoni tal-iSport Akkwatiku ta’ Malta ppreċentaw l-unuri lir-rebbieħa.

BOV First Division Award goes to Claudio Spiteri Debarro

Two players have been awarded the BOV Water Polo Premier League Player of the Month title, a first since the commencement of this award.Stevie Camilleri (Neptunes  Grimaldi) and Nicky Grixti (Sirens Ritter Sport) won the award for the BOV Premier Division.

Camilleri certainly needs no introduction, having won this award on numerous occasions. The Neptunes attacker scored no less than 17 goals for Neptunes during June to maintain the pressure at the top of the table.

Sirens’ goalkeeper Nicholas Grixti’s string of spectacular saves also earned him the June award. The U19 national team captain was instrumental in Sirens victory over Sliema, and repeatedly denied league leaders San Giljan, losing narrowly by one goal.

Marsaxlokk Fischer’s Claudio Spiteri Debarro was on target for the BOV First Division Award. Consistent performances which include 5 goals in Marsaxlokk’s first game against Otters landed this individual award for Claudio.

Paul Gauci, Executive Head BOV Training and Education from Bank of Valletta and Joe Caruana Curran, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta presented the awards to the winners.
