A shot from inside the area by Julian Camilleri after a Gary Camilleri free kick and a low cross by Zak Grech after a short corner pass by Matthew Pulis, while at the other end Andrei Spiteri released Leonardo Bugeja with a through ball on the edge of the area and Micallef saved his header.

Paola created the first action after the break as Keane Lagana served Kyle Briffa from a throw-in on the left flank and he drove slightly over the bar from the edge of the area and Abela pounced on a faulty clearance and from inside the area he missed the upright by inches with Paola keeper Bartolo beaten, and in another action by Balzan Julian Camilleri headed slightly out from inside the area after a Gary Camilleri free kick.
