The Gozo Motorcross Association is closing down its Championship as today’s semi-finals took place at Ta’ Xħajma Track. Races started at 1pm.This event was part of the Gozo Sports Festival organised by the Gozo Sports Board.

Mario Cauchi held on fast to first place in all of the three heats, while Robert Spiteri and Etienne Bigeni followed closely. All of the riders put on an incredible show of motocross racing. Cauchi dominated the day as he acquired maximum points winning first place in three heats. Spiteri followed closely while Bigeni came in third place.

Class B was just as challenging as John Attard raced head to head with Keith Bugeja both striving hard to win first place. In fact Attard ended up first while Bugeja came in second.  In third place Godfrey Bigeni was only a few points behind.

In Class C, Joseph Luke Gauci returned once again in an attempt to win over Anthony Fenech who came in second. As usual, Matthew Spiteri showed great determination in his bid to place well. He came in third, while Gauci stayed put in first position.
