The Gozo Motorcross Association organised its fifth round of the championship 2019 at Ta’ Xħajma Track. Races started at 1pm.

Not less than 20 Gozitan and Maltese riders came together to provide the most challenging and determined races of the season. Class A was won by current Gozitan champion Steve Xuereb, challenged by David Dimech and twice Champion Etienne Bigeni. Maltese riders Carmelo Borg and Michael Sant also joined this category. Unfortunately Dimech had to step down due to an injury. Therefore Xuereb got first place followed by the most able Carmelo Borg. Bigeni won second place.

Class B was just as challenging with Glenn Vella on his Honda CRF 250cc acquiring maximum points followed closely by Robert Spiteri.

In Class C, Daniel Portelli showed great determination in his bid to place well. In fact, he placed first in this class while Jorn Stellini placed second. Matthew Spiteri came in third place followed by Maltese riders William Sant and Arthur Micallef.

In Class D, nine riders participated in one of the most interesting races. All of the riders fought to collect as much point as possible. Young Isaac Bartolo was first followed by Eric Cardona in second place. David Mercieca followed in third place.

Today’s event was also supported by Grima Service Station of Victoria Gozo. Vince Grima handed trophies to each winner.
