YAMAHA Gozo Motocross Championship – Round 5

The Gozo Motorcross Association organised its fifth round of the Yamaha Championship 2018. It has been an exciting event with the dirt riders challenging each other consistently while being watched by the numerous fans who came to support their favourite riders.The competition proved to be an unpredictable and changeable moment wrapped up in a dramatic atmosphere of emotion, noise, expectation and excitement.

During the Class A competitions, the atmosphere was electrifying as the best riders raced against each other in the most interesting way. Steve Xuereb, Etienne Bigeni and David Dimech challenged each other constantly while Joseph Bigeni and Robert Spiteri followed closely. Xuereb won this category on his Honda CRF 250cc followed by Bigeni. David Dimech came in 3rd. Nataniel Camilleri won Class B followed by Jorn Stellini.

In Class C, riders are putting on an adventurous and daring show as they match each other relentlessly.  Newcomer Glen Vella dominated, achieving maximum points for the day. He was followed by Matthew Buttigieg. Mark Camilleri came in third place.

Vice-president Jesmong Bigeni presented winners with the trophies at the end of a day’s hard work.

Gozo Motocross Association  announces that the quarter finals of the Yamaha Gozo Motocross Championship 2018 will take place on Sunday 11th March 2018 at Ta’ Xhajma Track. Races start at 13:00.
