World Class shooters at Bidnija this weekend

William Chetcuti will be in action this Sunday at Bidnija

Top World Class Double Trap shooters arrived in Malta and are training at The MSSF ranges in Bidnija. Amoung them are Saad Almutairi from Kuwait that has been here for a week and trained along Maltese shooters William Chetcuti and Nathan Lee Xuereb.

This afternoon Hakan Dahlby arrived from Sweden and went straight to the shooting ranges to train where he even competed in last year’s Grand Prix. The Italian contingent also just arrived that include Olympic medalist Francesco D’Aniello. From Finland Simo Koylinen is expected later today.

On Friday evening The Malta Shooting Sport Federation is expected to hold the opening ceremony with style for these high profile shooters and guests on The MV Fernandes that will sail from Bugibba jetty at 8.00pm to the north of the Maltese Islands.

On Saturday morning the official training will be organized at Bidnija where every shooter will shoot three rounds of 50 clays each. On Sunday 24th. The 2nd Malta International Double Trap Grand Prix 2011 is sheduled to start at 9.00am where they will shoot 3 rounds of 50 each. The spectacular barrage finals for the best six shooters on special flash targets is expexted to start at 2.30pm. A considerable number of professional artistic photographers are expected to take the opportunity and capture best shooters taking part in this unique event with the ideal background of the Bidnija landscape.

The Maltese public is invited to support this high profile unique event where  the entrance is free of charge thanks to MSV Life, BOV, Blueline, Pintonino and KMS.
