Woods gets called up for Latvia match

Coach John Buttigieg and his assistant Carmel Busuttil have chosen the eighteen man squad for the Euro 2012 qualifying match for Malta against Latvia in Group F. One notices the return to the squad of Ivan Woods who has recently joined Floriana on a permanent move from Sliema Wanderers. Paul Fenech has been dropped.

In the debut game against Israel, Malta lost 3-1 at the Ramat Gan Stadium a game which was played on Thursday oflast week. The players and technical staff are already lodging at the Excelsior Hotel in Floriana toprepare for their second match in this Group against Latvia which is scheduled for Tuesday. 

The 18 man squad confirmed by Buttigieg is the following:

Malta will play against Latvia at the National Stadium in Ta` Qali on Tuesday 7th September at 19:30 Hrs. Entrance to the South Stand willbe free of charge.  John Buttigieg is to address the local Press on Monday 9.30am for the traditional pre-match meeting with the media.
