William Chetcuti wins the 2nd Malta International Double Trap Grand Prix 2011

The crowds that gathered at The MSSF ranges on Sunday saw Willam Chetcuti managing  to win The 2nd Malta International Double Trap Grand Prix 2011 today with flying colours. It was a spectacular show of Double Trap shooting today when top world class shooters were in Malta to compete for 10,000 euros in cash thanks to our main sponsors MSV life, BOV, Blueline, Pintonino and KMS.

William Chetcuti managed 48/50 in his first round, 48/50 in his 2nd, and 49/50 in his 3rd round, for a total of 145 to lead in 1st place for the barrage finals.

The Barrage finals was on 50 flash targets where William Chetcuti managed 47/50 for a total of 192/200 to finish first place overall.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th places had to be decided by a shoot off where Hakan Dahlby from Sweden placed 2nd with 143+47=190+s/off+10.

Gasparini Davide from Italy placed 3rd with 141+49=190+s/off+9

Francesco D’Aniello from Italy, placed 4th with 141+49+s/of+5

Almutairi Saad from Kuwait placed 5th with 141+48=189

Chainese Alessandro from Italy placed 6th with 142+46=188

Maltese shooter Nathan Lee Xuereb managed 135/150 and finished 11th place.
