William Chetcuti 6th in Double Trap Men at European Championships

At The European Shooting Championships in Belgrade, William Chetcuti managed to win a decicive shoot off today after he managed 47, 49,47=143. With 143 William was equal 6th place with Loew A from Germany and Italian Francesco D’Aniello.
William went on to smash all ten targets and was the one to enter the barrage in 6th position, while Loew l manged 9 and Francesco D’Aniello managed 7.
Russian, Vasely Mosin won Gold with 146+48=194
British Richard Faulds won Silver with 145+48=193+s/off+12
Italian Danielle Di Spigno won Bronze with 147=46=193+s/off+11
British Wilson Peter placed 4th with 144+49=191
Swedish Hakan Dahlby placed 5th with 145+46=191
Maltese, William Chetcuti placed 6th with 143+47=190.
 
Nathan Lee Xuereb 6th in Juniors Double Trap at European Championships 2011 Belgrade
 
Junior Maltese Double Trap shooter Nathan Lee Xuereb also made it through the barrage finals among the top six Juniors today at The European Championships 2011 being held at Belgrade. Nathan managed 44,42 and 46 for a total of 132/150 to enter in sixth place in the barrage finals where he managed 38 to finish 6th place overall. Being Nathan’s first ever European Championships, his coach Jimmy Bugeja comments were very positive and beleive that Nathan’s talents are very promising. He was very satisfied that both Maltese Double Trap shooters made it to their respective barrage finals at such a prestigious European championships. Their next encounter will be The ISSF World Chmpionships to be beld in September also in Belgrade.
 
 
The Junior Double Trap event was won by Praj F with 144+48=192
Lazarev M placed 2nd with 145+45=190+s/off+8
Nekrasov A placed 3rd with 143+47=190+s/off +7
Cobb C placed 4th with 144+46=190
Fokeev K placed 5th with 139+43=182
Nathan Lee Xuereb placed 6th with 132+38=170
 
MSSF shooter Lawrence Darmanin took part for the first time in European Championships.He competed in the 50 Rifle Prone event where he managed 92,92,98,95,9692 for a total of 565/600.
 
On Thursday 11th August and Friday 12th, Maltese shooter Clive Farrugia will be competing in The Skeet event in Belgrade. He will be assisted by his coach Luduvico Di Maio.
