Ferencvaros FC goalkeeper Justin Haber was one of the players who performed very well during Malta’s friendly match against Germany in Aachen earlier this week. Haber was instrumental in keeping the score to a minimum with several fine saves during the game.

Speaking to sportinmalta.com the 28 year old keeper said “It was a very difficult match for us as we played against a top European nation and although Germany had several players missing the ones that were given the green light in the starting lineup made that extra effort to impress. I had a good game with some point blank saves but I also recognise the great effort of my colleagues, especially those forming the back four, who were instrumental in minimising our opponent’s continuous attacks” commented Haber

“We always try our best in international games but sometimes things get difficult by the minute as was the case in yesterday’s game, but although we lost 3-0 I think that there are many positive aspects that we can take from from this game. Our players had some fine passing and we managed to come out with the ball from the defense several times” added the keeper.

Justin Haber did not travel back to Malta with the rest of the contingent due to the fact that he flew back to Hungary to resume training with his team Ferencvaros.

More comments from players who featured in Buttigieg’s side were taken just before the team flew back to Malta on Friday afternoon.
