The players from Warwick University proved too strong for the Marsa Squash Section winning all 3 teams matches.

The team event, played as 3 in a team on a round robin basis and over a maximum of 15minutes non-stop per match, gave the players from Marsa the chance to test themselves against each player from their opposing team. With every point counting towards the overall score there was no let up in tempo as each player contested every point to the very last second.

The Marsa 3rd team put up a brave fight against the young Warwick team. Mark Wright, Analise Attard and Maria Duffy all played extremely well and lost by the narrowest of margins 4-5

Peter Wirth, Brian Conway and Sue Aquilina representing the Marsa 2nd team were on the wrong end of a 1-8 score line with Brian Conway managing a token victory against the Warwick number 6.

The Marsa 1st team of Carl Camilleri, Christer Gustafson and Arian Camilleri all played well but were edged out 3,5 to 5,5 with Marsa number 1 Camilleri drawing with his Warwick counterpart 19-19 at the end of 15 minutes of furious and entertaining squash.
