More than 35 children at the Scuola di Pallavolo Malta Sport Summer School enjoyed a rugby league day recently as Mr. Anthony Micallef of the Malta Rugby League (MRL) delivered a session at the G.F. Abela Junior College at Msida.

The children, aged from 6 to 11, were coached in Rugby League’s core skills including catch and passing before putting their new skills into practice through a host of games. This session was a new experience for most of these children and definitely for Scuola di Pallavolo Malta who recognizes the importance of exposing children to as many sports as possible, while at a young age. The local success Rugby is experiencing, makes the Scuola di Pallavolo Malta directors proud of being able to host such lessons.

The Sport Summer School is now entering its eighth and final week with Italian coaches visiting from partners Scuola di Pallavolo Anderlini of Modena, Italy, while 15 of the participating children are from Angela House of the Ursuline Nuns at nearby Guardamangia.

More projects, that will cater for children, youth and adults, will be launched in the coming weeks. In the meantime all those interested can contact Scuola di Pallavolo Malta on info@sdpmalta.com or on 79208723.
