Hamrun win in dramatic style to play with top six

Hamrun’s Marcelo Pereira had to be escorted outside the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali by the Police after the Hamrun fans were frustrated and very angry at him after he missed a penalty when the score was 2-2. The Spartans were lucky to have in top form their talisman Gaetan Spiteri who with a personal brace gave the three points to Hamrun and put them mathematically in the Championship Pool.

First Half

10min. A Chipev shot cross is deflected into a corner by keeper Vella.

15min. Jeffrey Chetcuti’s cross towards Jorge Santos Silva with the latter missing the target.

16min. Omar Borg saves a shot by Edison after a Jorge Santos cross.

20min. Wellman clears a Kokaavessis intelligent short cross.

39min. Hamrun 1-0 Dylon Kokavessis nets the ball after receiving a Gaetan Spiteri cross.

41min.  Corner for Vottoriosa by Alan Tabone headerd by Wellman and saved by Borg.

46min. Gaetan Spiteri towards Kokavessis, the latter dribbles the opposing keeper but his final shot is cleared.
