Valletta prepare part-exchange deal for Belgian star

Champions Valletta are  preparing to make an offer for Qormi’s defender Jason Lee Vandelannoite and the Valletta boss could offer Nigerian striker Alfred Effiong in return. The latter could find limited playing time after the arrivals of Michael Mifsud, William Barbosa while Terence Scerri could make an early return from his suspension (pending court decision).

Jason Lee has already publicly stated his intention to leave Qormi back in January and altthough coach Stephen Azzopardi does not want to loose such a crucial member of his starting line-up, he may well feel he has no choice other than to get as good a deal as possible for the talented solid defender.

Qormi could also make an offer for Valletta’s promising goalkeeper Yenz Cini. The Valletta youngster could seek a Qormi move as the ideal environment for his career since he fell down in the pecking order following Matthew Towns’ arrival.

Nigerian striker Daniel Nwoke is not joining Qormi as he asked for €5,000 in cash before his departure from Finland. The former Floriana striker also asked for €3,000 per month to wear the Yellow and Black shirt.

Stephen Azzopardi is set to bolster the forward line after his Brazilian target Fabio Louis Rodriguez arrived this afternoon. Nigerian Shola Haruna is expected to sign his one year contract for less than € 1000 per month to join Qormi.

Its unrealistic and premature at this stage to suggest that Shola Shodiya is about to agree to a one year contract of less than 1,000 euro with Qormi when talks are still ongoing.

X’hemm hazin billi Valletta jhallsu dawn il-pagi? Jekk iridu u jekk ghandhom timijiet ohra jghamlu l-istess. Jekk m’ghandhomx biex ihallsu jew ma jridux jibqaw jittewwbu u Valletta jibqaw jerfaw l-unuri u jigru bil-lijg.

Very unlikely that this deal materializes! Probably, mere speculation based on hearsay. QFC surely requires a central defender, especially after the departure of Stefan Giglio and reinforces the forward line to stand a chance to compete for championship pool berth.
