Valletta and Hiberians will be all out for the three points on Friday evening as the two teams cross swords in this week’s biggest clash. Both teams secured a win in their first encounters against Vittoriosa and Floriana respectively. Although it is very early in the season, a good result tomorrow could be vital for both squads with all players available for selection.

On Saturday Vittoriosa take on Qormi at the National Stadium at 5:00pm. Both teams have suffered defeat in their season openers, with newly promoted Vittoriosa losing to Valletta and the Yellows falling to Hamrun. Vittoriosa will be without Brazilian Carlos Emmanuel Compagnoli

Another big clash on Saturday shall see champions Birkirkara meet Floriana live on Malta Stars. Fresh from a 4-1 win against Sliema, the Stripes start as hot favourites against Todor Raykov’s men. Manuel Bartolo will start in goal for Birkirkara after Lovizon fractured his arm, while they still have Patrick Borg, Paul Fenech, Shawn Bajada and Nikola Vuknac suspended. Carl Pulo will be back in Paul Zammit’s side for this game while Floriana will be without experienced defender Brian Said.

On Sunday Tarxien face Hamrun Spartans while in the second match Sliema take on Marsaxlokk.

In the first match, Tarxien will be looking for their first win after 0-0 draw against newly promoted Marsaxlokk. Meanwhile a revamped Hamrun side will seek their second win after they convincingly beat Qormi 3-1 in this season’s opening clash. The last game in this week’s programme, will see Sliema Wanderers take on Marsaxlokk. Sliema have to forget what happened on Monday night after their humiliating defeat against Birkirkara. John Mintoff is ruled out due to suspension and this could promote James Paris into their starting line up. After collect their first point against Tarxien, Marsaxlokk will be hoping for another good performance in what promises to be a very balance game.

Nispera li jkollna cans naraw ripetizzjoni tal-ballun li qalaw minn fuq il-linja id-difensuri pawlisti ghax nahseb li qalawh minn wara l-linja. Fl-ewwel taqsima r-referee cahhadna minn penalty car qabel inghata l-penalty li bih ftahna l-iskor. Gibna d-draw b’ghaxar plejers (ghamilna 20 minuta nilghabu b’ghaxra) u fit-tieni taqsima l-Hibs qaghdu jiddefendu u ma tellawx attakk wiehed kontra l-assedju taghna b’ghaxar plejers.
Tqies kollox nahseb li draw ma kienx rizultat hazin ghalkemm xorta nghid li konna ahjar minnhom.
