Floriana signed Portuguese Valdo Alhinho this morning as the club registered him at the MFA headquarters to be eligible to play for the Greens in Saturday’s encounter against arch rivals Sliema Wanderers.

The 23 year old was on the verge of signing for a Serie C club in Italia, but due to financial difficulties he returned to Malta and will return to the Premier League after a stint with Sliema Wanderers back in 2009. Last season he played with Luxol St Andrews in Division One.

Aman Verma and Carl Tremarco are also Mark Wright’s others signings at the club. Former Leicester City player Verma has put pen to paper on a one year deal and Tremarco is currently on loan from Macclesfield Town according to club’s website.

Floriana are also waiting for the international clearance of Sunday Wasiu, who will rejoin the club after he left in January 2009.

Floriana are on the verge to agree to deals with Trevor Cilia and Kane Farrugia according to our source.
