It is now official as we said yesterday evening on our Kontraattakk facebook page, defender Tyrone Farrugia will be a Mosta player. The transfer is set to be concluded on Wednesday as both parties agreed on 29,000 euros fee.

Mosta also released Maltese international striker Daniel Bogdanovic, who could continue his career in England League 1 club Notts County, but still can be a possible transfer to a Maltese Premier League club and are also ready to sell Nigerian Obinna Obiefule, who’s currently in China to conclude a deal with a Chinese first division club.

First Division: Leaders Naxxar Lions signed Brazilian striker Anderson Mendes Ribiero from Premier League club Hibernians.

Gzira United have released striker Alfred Effiong as he failed to impress during his stay at the Maroons. Both parties agreed on the terms and now the Nigerian player can join any club in January’s transfer window.

The former Marsaxlokk and Valletta striker was the club’s top earner as he was getting  2,300 euros per month . Now the Maroons are targeting Hamrun Spartans Christian Cassar or Balzan bench warmer Martin Deanov.

Hamrun Spartans agreed terms with French striker Loic Lumbilla who will be available for the Spartans against Rabat Ajax next Sunday.

Lumbilla Kandja started his career at Paris FC. In July 2004, along with Tijani Belaid, they were signed for InternazionaleIn the next season he played for Inter Primavera team and played numbers of friendlies for the first team.

In 2006-07, he left on loan to Legnano of Serie C2, where he won the championship. He then left for FC Locarno in the Swiss Challenge League but he just played 9 matches. In February 2009 he signed a contract with Écija Balompié of Spanish Segunda División B. In August 2009, he signed a 2-year contract with VfL Wolfsburg, rejoined former team-mate Obafemi Martins.

Hamrun Spartans are also waiting for another two foreigners as a Nigerian striker and an Albanian midfielder will be undergoing a trial this week.

First division side Birzebbugia St Peter’s completed the signing of Pieta utility man Glenville Goodlip and a Maltese-Australian midfielder James Sammut, while Zejtun Corinthians registered Norwegian striker Omar El Ghouti after he failed to impress with Sliema Wanderers.

Zejtun Corthians also suffered a big blow as veteran goalkeeper Ranier Farrugia hung up his gloves six months earlier than expected for business reasons.
