Two to be arraigned in court after Ta Qali incidents

Following the incidents that happened just after the Valletta v Birkirkara game of last Sunday the Police is to arraign two men in court sportinmalta.com has learnt.

The two men are believed to have been involved in two separate incidents. The first man a Birkirkara supporter is to be charged with disobeying Police orders just after the final whistle of the match when he jumped over the perspex of the Birkirkara enclosure side and straight into the pitch to celebrate the Stripes victory over Vallletta.

The second person believed to be a Valletta fan is to be arraigned in court after an alleged hit and run accident involving a Birkirkara supporter who was walking back to his car. This accident took place next to the Basketball Pavilion. Witnesses confirmed that the Birkirkara supporter had to be hospitalised but his conditions were not critical.

In the meantime the Malta Police confirmed that only 46 Police officers were on duty last Sunday for the big BOV Premier League match.
