Trio target vital win

Hamrun Spartans, Melita, and Balzan, will be targeting their first win of the season as the trio are under mounting pressure to bounce back from disappointing defeats.

In today’s first match Qormi take on mini crisis Balzan Fc as both clubs will be aiming for an important three points. Qormi are coming from a 4-2 defeat by resurgent Mosta and is still hampered by the absence of midfielder Triston Caruana.

Balzan FC are also coming from a defeat against leaders Valletta and will be without versatile Malcolm Licari as starts three match suspension. The former Youths welcome back inspire midfielder Pedro Dos Santos Calcado.

In today’s second match Hamrun Spartans starts slightly favourite against Melita.

Having made headlines for the wrong reasons following their humiliating 8-2 loss to champions Valletta on Monday, The Spartans will be looking for a morale victory against the Amateurs.

Hamrun welcome back Yoshev while the Amateurs will be without Spanish defender Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho as former Hamrun defender Jovan Vukanac returns after he was sent off against Valletta and missed the 2-0 defeat against Tarxien Rainbows.
