BIRKIRKARA ST JOSEPH’S GRAHAM BORG FOR IRONMAN COPENHAGEN

The 24th of August marks an important date for Birkirkara St. Joseph and Malta triathlete Graham Borg, when he will be taking part in Ironman Copenhagen, a triathlon which is expected to attract over 2,500 international participants. The Ironman distances consist of a 3.8-kilometre swim, a 180-kilometre bike and finishing with a 42.2-kilometre run. Borg has been undergoing an intensive training programme under the guidance of coach David Galea, and has earned top places in both local and foreign races. The Saints’ triathlete has also recently attended a training camp in France, as part of his preparations for this race.

This is Borg’s second attempt at the Ironman distance. Last year he made his début in Sweden, in Ironman Kalmar, finishing 66th in his age-group out of 330 participants. Borg’s preparations are going as planned and he feels extremely motivated to break his own personal best time. Borg is supported by Western Union Business solutions, MZ investments, Malta Nutrition.com, www.cfragrances.com.
