Tony Tornado in Malta

Malta’s top cueist Tony Drago is in Malta for a short holiday sportinmalta.com has learnt. The professional snooker player arrived in Malta on Monday night following his second round China Open Exit last week. Drago who started his professional in career as snooker player in his early 30’s has recently embarked on the popular 8 ball and 9 ball tournaments. In fact in the last decade, he has participated and also won various 8 ball and 9 ball tournaments. Drago has won the predator 8 ball tournament and the Mosconi Cup with the European Team amongst other success.

After his short holiday in Malta, the Valletta born snooker player will travel to Italy, Las Vegas, Qatar, Bradford UK and the States amongst others to participate in other tournaments scheduled for the latter part of 2010. Drago is a hot favourite to win the World Pool Championship to be held in June following his participation in the World Pool Masters to be held in May.

Tony Drago will give official comments to the local press later on this week at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Floriana.
