Sliema ASC have bolstered their ranks with the capture of National team player Timmy Sullivan. The former Exiles captain has joined the blues as a possible replacement for departed veterans Clint Debono and Paul Privitera. The experienced Sullivan expressed his satisfaction at joining a club of Sliema’s calibre and is determined to form part of a successful team.

Edward Aquilina is also back training with the blues after a two year spell at rivals Neptunes. Aquilina is delighted to be back with the blues and is keen to win more honours with the club.

The club has also been active on the coaching front. Paul Privitera will be replacing Peter Decesare as First Team Assistant Coach as from this season. Decesare, a true servant to the club, decided to call it a day and will instead be taking up a new role with the club’s waterpolo technical team. Former National team captain Privitera, will be assisting Sergio Afric from the Sliema bench.

Finally, the Ghar id-Dud club also secured the services of Youth Coach Kristof Szilagyi. The Hungarian, who led the Sliema ASC Under 20s to the Championship title in 2012, returned to the island in January and has taken full control of the club’s Under 17s and Under 20s.
