Thriathlon: Keith Galea Keeps Marching On

Malta Triathlon Champion and Commonwealth Athlete vKeith Galea sent a clear message at Birzebbugia bay last July, that he is aiming to win the Triathlon Series for the seventh time in his athletic Career with a dominant victory. The Champion came out of the water in first place covering the 750m swim in 11.09. He was closely followed by club team mate Graham Borg by 10 seconds

On the 20km Bike Segment the champion digged deep to increase his lead. At this Stage Wayne Spiteri was coming in contention for a podium place with a strong bike performance thus registering the best bike of the day of 33.18. Galea managed to increase his lead to 37seconds at the end of the bike. Graham Borg came in T2 in 2nd place with Wayne Spiteri in third

The Champ continued to extend his lead in the run thus managing to register the best run of the day in 18.04 to win his 7th race of the season in 1.04.29. Graham Borg managed to hold on to second to finish in 1.06.29. Thanks to a good run, Fabio Spiteri managed to grab third place from wayne spiteri to finish in 1.07.02

After the Race, Galea said that he was very satisfied with his performance and very happy to claim his seventh win of the season and he will be training even harder to for his upcoming races. At the moment, Galea is in his final stages of his training, preparing well for the National Aquathlon Championships and the National Triathlon Championships which are going to be held in September and October respectively. The Current Triathlon Champion is looking to win the first ever Aquathlon Championships and his forth triathlon title
