One national and two age-group records were broken during Saturday’s ASA’s Time Trials at Tal-Qroqq.

Andrea Agius (SW Elite) coached by Neil Agius and Mark Buttigieg clipped 31 hundredths of a second off his own national record of 30.00 seconds set last year to go below the half minute barrier in the 50 metres breaststroke. He holds four national individual records, three in the breaststroke and the other in the 200 IM.

In Group D, Julian Harding (Neptunes WPSC) coached by Andy Colbourn ASA National Coach, set the ninth age-group record over two age categories when swimming the 100 metres breaststroke in 1:08.26 to beat the previous best held by Andrea M Agius of 1:08.67, a time which Agius registered in April 2011.

In the female races Andrea Bellia (Neptunes WPSC) coached by Gail Rizzo, bettered her own record in the metre 100 Butterfly event (Group C) when she clocked 1:09.36, which was 0.59 seconds faster than her own previous limit set in July this year.
