Three games suspension for Vukanac – Saliba acquitted!

The MFA Board of Control and Discipline, which met on Thursday 9th September, announced the following decisions following incidents which took place in the VIP Area at the National Stadium following the BOV Super Cup final between Valletta FC and Birkirkara FC.

Birkirkara FC – The Board suspended Patrick Borg for two matches and fined him €150, Nikola Vukanac three matches and fined him €200, Shaun Pierre Bajada two matches and fined him €100 and Paul Fenech two matches and fined him €100.

Valletta FC – The Board suspended committee member Mr Sandro Giliberti for a period of two years from all football activities until September 8th 2012 and committee member Mr Vincent Tabone for a period of two years from all football activities until September 8th 2012.

The Board did not find Mr Kevin Gauci guilty of using violence but was found guilty of incitement, according to rule 10 of the Disciplinary Code, and was therefore suspended for one month until October 8th 2010 and was fined €25.

The Board did not find former Valletta FC committee member Nicky Saliba guilty of any charge.

    Why did you put the exclamation mark after the name Nicky Saliba?! Do you want to imply that your are surprised?

    Aren’t you surprised at the fact that Vukanac was the most severely banned player (a jokoe – 3 matches just in time to play against Valletta) and he wasn’t charged in court….. do you find that surprising?!
