Maltese international table tennis player Daniel Bajada continued with his positive run in Italy as his Serie B1 side ASD Fiaccola clinched their third victory in a row after defeating Sardegna side ASD TT Libertas Sassari 5-2 in Castellana Grotte, Bari on Saturday evening.

Bajada had a rather slow start losing the first two sets against Luca Baraccani however he was quick to rediscover his fine form and ended up beating the 334 ranked player 3-2. In his second match Bajada won the first set but then ended up losing 3-1 against 194th ranked Riccardo Lisci.

Thanks to this win ASD Fiaccola now maintain their third position on six points alongside Tenute Zinni Casalbordino “Il Sole” of Pecsara. The team’s next commitments are now on December 11 when they host second placed APD G. Castello of Rome who yesterday lost 5-0 at home to runaway leaders ASD Tennistavolo Norbello.
