The Youth Football Association is proud to announce the launch of its fully featured website www.theyouthfa.org.mt and YFA passport platform incorporated in it. The new website has a clean uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced rich content which will allow the visitors to have a very informative experience with regards to grassroots football in Malta.

The YFA Vice-President, Robert Attard, walked through the new website, highlighting some of the new features present in the new website, including the calendar of events, the new interactive character of the website and the ability to check live if a player is actually registered. Robert Attard continued to note that the website will be continuously updated, so the football administrators, coaches, players, parents and all those involved in grassroots football could check the latest information, including the news, fixtures and standings. He concluded his intervention by urging all the member nurseries to make good use of this new website and to send in their events and photos to be featured on the same website and hence giving the good work being done in the local football nurseries, a greater visibility.

The General Secretary of the Association, Joe Micallef, remarked that the passport platform, incorporated within this new website was the natural next step forward in this project. Joe Micallef confirmed that after a period of testing, all member nurseries will have secure access to the passports data system, as well as an array of features, including access to the information and sending messages to the players registered with them

Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro praised the new website and passport platform and hoped that the member nurseries would make full use of this new Youth FA project. He retaliated that football at a young age was not about winning trophies, but about enjoying the beautiful game whilst making new friends that last a lifetime. The YFA President continued that on the other hand, the football administrators and coaches must ensure to provide a healthy and safe environment, where to educate these children thru football, respect and fair play and assisting them to develop their talent.
