Hamrun Spartans set to register new foreigner to replace Mawete

Sportinmalta.com has learnt that the only reason why Mawete Batista Joao Junior left our country was that he was summoned to appear in Angola’s Court to defend the custody of his daughter. The Angola born player had a call earlier last week from his lawyer informing him that he cannot risk not to be present for this important court hearing. It is not yet clear if Hamrun President Daniel Sullivan was aware of this personal problem of the player way back when the Club decided to register him as their third foreigner.

Hamrun Spartans filed in a resignation letter signed by the player to the MFA Head Quarters accompanied by a registration of a new player namely Obinna Polycarp Obielfule who last played with Thisted FC in Denmark in the 2008.09 season. This Nigerian player will be available for the Hamrun coach D’Amato only after the Hamrun request will be discussed and approved by the MFA Executive decision.
