The year 2012 has been a remarkable one for Malta’s Billy Corito, known as ‘the Hit Man’, who had became a Semi-Professional Boxer on the European Boxing Federation books in December 2011.

In the past months Corito featured in three fights confronting Ian Toby in January, Davey ‘Boy’ Clarke in April and Eric ‘The Viking’ Thompson in July, three fights with a common outcome – The Maltese boxer powerfully knocked down his challengers in the initial rounds of the respective fights. In so doing stretching his record to nine Knock-Out victories out of ten fights with the other fight he won by points.

Following such performances Corito is the holder of the EBF Intercontinental Heavyweight Title Belt and ranks 6th in the EBF Heavyweight category rankings.

Now on Friday 7th December ‘The Hit Man’ faces what is being described as his hardest and toughest fight yet.  A highly important appointment against 6’ 3” Dutchman Harry Duiven Jr whose impressive boxing record reads – 23 fights with 15 wins (KO 13) + 7 lost  (KO 5) + 1 drawn.  Duiven Jr who ranks 4th in the EBF Heavyweight category rankings was also champion ofHolland in kickboxing and thai boxing. He is also an experienced K1 and MMA fighter with a predominately positive winning record.

Indeed Harry Duiven Jr has only ever fought the best within the EBF with his only losses coming to Mark Potter, Chris Bacon, Daz Davies and Dominic Negus, who have all been ranked number 1 in the EBF rankings at some time.
