The 4th Malta International Grand Prix

The 4th Malta International Double Trap Grand Prix 15-08-13 & The Malta Trap Internatioanl Grand Prix 17/18-08-13
The MSSF President, Dr. Carmel Cascun said these events are being organized for the fourth cosecutive year.Thanks to the main sponsors, MSVLIFE, BOV, MIA, Dragonara Brassarie, FIMBank and KMS that showed their interest to support these events more shooters from Italy, Great Britain and Malta will be competing for this prestigious event that include thousands of Euros in prize money.
Amoung the sixty shooters that will be competing, 18 in Double Trap and 42 in Trap there will be Olympic Medalist Francesco D’Aniello from Italy, World Champion Danielle Di Spignio also from Italy, Commonwealth champion Stevan Walton, Mediterranean Champion William Chetcuti and Junior European Champion Nathan Lee Xuereb.
The FITAV President Luciano Rossi collaborated with The MSSF to send the FITAV Double Trap squad that also include a female shooter and Trap shooters that will be competing with local shooters.
The foreign shooters are expected to arrive in Malta next Monday where they will be training at The Bidnija ranges.
The 4th Malta International Double Trap event will be held on Thursday morning 15th August on five rounds of 30 clays each.
The best six shooters will qualify for The semi finals in the afternoon on another 15 pairs, witth the medal matches to follow.
The Malta International Trap Grand Prix will be organized on 75 clays on Saturday 17th August, 50 clays on Sunday morning 18th August
.The top six will qualify for the semi finals on Sunday afternoon on another 15 clays and the medal matches on 15 clays afterwards.
Both event will be held under the ISSF 2013 regulations and with ISSF recognized referees.
The public is invited for both events to see World class shooters competing along Local champions. In both events the semi finals and Medal matches spectacular flash targets will be used that are sponsored by Nastakiekko OY.
The MSSF President Dr. Carmel Cascun thanked the organizing committee’s effort to attract such high calibre shooters to Malta and most of all the sponsors that made these events posibble to organize.
