Tarxien Rainbows move to ninth place with 18 points after beaten bottom side Marsaxlokk. The Rainbows returned to winning ways after last week 2-1 defeat against Hamrun Spartans.
Marsaxlokk now only have 6 points after having three points deducted for not honouring a decision by the MFA Board of Control and Discipline to a former coach and two former players.
Karl Pulo and Ricardo Costa scored the all important goals
Tarxien Rainbows mentor Patrick Curmi opted for an offensive 4-4-2- formation as Jimmy Mayasi replaced out of form Ricardo Costa. Tarxien Rainbows are in need of points as are second from bottom one point behind Mqabba and Mosta.
Marsaxlokk coach Anton Cremona started an initial 4-5-1 formation as Alex Pedrozostarted alone strike supported by Oladatun and Valerani on the flanks.
