Stompers confirm their new community coach

Stompers are proud to announce the appointment of their new Community Coach Daniel Holliday for the forthcoming season. Despite his young age, Daniel, who is affectionately known as ‘Pancho‘ has an impressive rugby C.V.

To date his playing achievements are:

  • Representing Cardiff Blues at age grade level
  • Representing Welsh schoolboys in international competition
  • Representing Welsh college squads, aged 18
  • Playing for Rumney RFC – UK and Wales Division 1, East
  • Representing Kandy Rugby Club in the top level rugby competitions in Sri Lanka
  • Senior Malta National Rugby international (2010 – current)

Daniel has been coaching for six years prior to joining Stompers for the 2012/13 season, where he has previously worked as a community coach for Cardiff Blues, delivering sessions in schools and clubs throughout the region whilst also assisting in the running and organisation of tournaments and festivals for schools and clubs.

Last season Daniel was part of the coaching team that dominated the Cardiff district U14′s and coached them over a ten week period developing their individual and position specific skills. He was also part of a team from across Wales that were responsible for delivering fitness testing and skills sessions to possible academy players across Wales in all of the rugby playing regions.
