Stephen Grima gets UEFA Pro 1st Category license

One of Malta’s most academic football coaches Stephen Grima has been awarded the UEFA Pro 1st category license by the Federazione Italiana Gioco Calcio (FIGC). He was succesful in the course he was reading that started way back in October 2011.

This course is considered a Masters degree in football coaching in Italy and was held at Coverciano. All the 29 participant of thsi course managed to get the degree. With Malta’s Grima there were some ex international football stars who read undertook the lectures with him namely: Roberto Baggio, Benito Carbone, Benoit Fabiens Cauet, Alessandro Dal Canto, Davide Nicola, Fabio Pecchia, Gianpiero Piovani,  Lamberto Zauli and  Zè Maria.

Mr. Grima is the Coach Education Director of the Malta Football Association and currently holds the post of Education Officer in Physical Education and Sports within the Ministry of Education a post he holds since 2008. He holds a masters in Physical Education and specialises in preparing athletes mentally for peak performance. Has coached all the categories of youth football.   He is also the author of two books on football Youth Football Development: in Practice 2004 and Creating Your Future Today 2006.
