Balzan Youths and Sliema Wanderers shared six goals in an entertaining 3-3 draw despite the Blues played for over half an hour in nine men after having two players sent off.

Sliema Wanderers stayed fifth with 19 points two above Balzan Youths.

Sliema Wanderers coach Danilo Doncic opted for a 4-4-2 formation as Bulgarian Daniel Mitev started upfront with Eyeng Anicet. Captain Mark Scerri returned to partner Cleaven Frendo, Emiliano Lattes and Andrew Caligari.

Balzan Youths coach Ivan Zammit made several changes in his first eleven as Miguel Ciantar and Dylan Grima replaced the released Tasic and Guga. Goalkeeper Franklin Azzopardi started in goal as Matthew Camilleri is suspended after he collected his fourth yellow card last Tuesday against Valletta.

43min: Balzan Youths took the lead!! Pedro Dos Santos Calcado free kick was saved by Bonello from the rebound Rennie Forace slotted in.

57min: Sliema reduced to nine men as captain Mark Scerri was again booked for a late tackle on Jamie Pace.

58min: Nikola Bogdanovic is the inspiration for Sliema!!! The Serbian midfielder shot was saved by Azzopardi and from the rebound Frendo shot beaten helpless Azzopardi for a deserved equaliser.

67min: Balzan again took the lead as Lydon Micallef did all the work for Pedro Calcado who just slotted in past Henry Bonello.

84min: Penalty for Sliema W!!! Emilian Lattes scored from the eleven meter mark.

86min: Calcado scored for Balzan to put again in the lead.

89min: Nikola Bogdanovic again levelled for Sliema Wanderers.

Mqabba registered an important 1-0 victory against Mosta in Monday’s first match at the Victor Tedsco Staium valid from the Relegation Pool.

Nigerian John Nwoba scored the all important goal in a dull encounter. Mqabba now have 13 points from 14 games as Mosta stayed with 13 points.

Mosta mentor Steve D’Amato opted for an offensive 4-4-2 formation as the returning Ian Zammit partnered Mosta top scorer Obinaa Obiefule upfront. Florent Raimy returned for Steve D’Amato side after he missed the last two encounters due to suspension to partner Sheldon Grech, Firas Aboulezz and on loan Valletta winger Dyson Falzon formed the midfield. The latter also returned after he was sideline for almost two months with a rib injury.

Mqabba mentor Clive Mizzi started an initial 4-4-2 formation. Nigerian John Nwoba and Bojan Mamic were given the nod by the former Marsaxlokk assistant coach, Youngster David Fenech returned to partner Mauro Bonnici, Marko Potezica and Claudio Calleja in midfield.
