Skeet pair Farrugia and Vella just off the podium

Maltese shooters Clive Farrugia and Darren Vella were just unlucky not to win a at least a bronze medal in Delhi during the Commonwealth games in the skeet pairs competition. 
 
Theut were just three clays away from the winning a Silver or a  Bronze medal. Unfortunately the skeet maltese duo  had to settle for fourth place. Clive Farrugia managed 23,23,24 and a straight of 25/25 for a remarkable 95/100. Darren Vella started very well with 24,24,24 and 21/25 in the last round for a total of 93/100. As a Pair they managed 188/200.

The Cypriot pair won the competition claiming gold with 194 points. The English pair won Silver with 191/299. The Canadian pair finished third thus winningthe  Bronze medal with 191/200.

Earlier this week in the Trap individual event Maltese Trap shooter Nazzareno Attard manged 23 and 24 plus 70 the day before for a total of 117/125. Jason J. Aquilina managed 21 and 21 plus 70/75 yesterday for a total of 112/125.
