Shooting: Clive Farrugia wins Malta International Open Skeet Event 2017

Clive Farrugia managed to take the top prize of The Skeet Event today of The Malta International Open Grand Prix 2017 that is being organized by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation.

Clive Farrugia managed a remarkable score of 121/125 to qualify for the final stages among the top six shooters.

In the qualification rounds of 125 clays, Llewllin Ben managed a perfect score of 125/125, a first ever score on Maltese grounds in Skeet shooting. Poumaillou Edouar and Jansson Henrik qualified with a score of 123/125. Takanen Tommi qualified with a score of 122/125. Cive Frauugia qualified with a score of 121/125 and Petit Emanuel qualified with a score of 120/125.

In The final stages Clive Farrugia placed 1st with 57/60

Petit Emanuel placed 2nd with 56/60

Llewellin Ben placed 3rd with 45/50

Jannson Henrik placed 4th with 35/50

Takkanen Tommi placed 5th with 24/30

Poumaillou Edouard placed 6th with 15/20

 

In Juniors event,Bousquet Ange from France placed 1st.

Lejeune Nicolas from Malta placed 2nd

Marcello Attard from Malta placed 3rd.

 

In Ladies Event, Hill Amber from UK placed 1st

Lejeune Marine from France placed 2nd.

Brown Amy from UK placed 3rd.

 

In Class A Clive Farrugia placed 1st, Darren Vella placed 2nd, Bozidar Dimitrov placed 3rd.

 

In Class B Jason Sciberras placed 1st, Lauret Vella placed 2nd and Edwin Zammit placed 3rd.

 

The Hon Minister of Tourism Konrad Mizzi and MTA CEO Paul Bugeja presented the trophies and medals to the winners on behalf of The Ministry of Tourism and MTA which were the main sponsors of these events.

The Double Trap event will commence today Wednesday, while the Trap event will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
