Shooting: Brian Galea wins the George Bugeja Memorial Trap Grand Prix at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club

This Sunday’s Competition was organised on three qualification rounds of twenty five clay targets each.

The six Finalists and their qualification scores were; Paul Formosa 67/75, Brian Galea 65/75 and George Cassar 63/75, while Stephen Vella, Frank Scorfna and John Marmara followed with the identical score of 58/75.

The Finals overall results were;

1st Brian Galea 19/25 + 3/5 + 5/5 + 5/5 + 9/10, total score 41/50

2nd Frank Scorfna 20/25 + 4/5 + 5/5 + 2/5 + 7/10, total score 38/50

3rd Paul Formosa 16/25 + 5/5 + 3/5 + 3/5, total score 27/40

4th Stephen Vella 14/25 + 2/5 + 3/5, total score 19/35

5th George Cassar 13/25 + 2/5, total score 15/30

6th John Marmara 12/25, total score 12/25

The top Shooters in their respective classes concluded their three qualification rounds with the following scores;

Class A

1st Paul Formosa 67/75

2nd Brian Galea 65/75

3rd Stephen Vella 58/75

 

Class B

1st George Cassar 63/75

2nd Mark Bonello 55/75

3rd Stephen Aquilina 53/75

 

Class C

1st John Marmara 58/75

2nd Steve Azzopardi 51/75

3rd Carmel Grech 47/75

 

The MSSF Trap Programme will continue on Saturday 08 and Sunday 09 July 2017 at the Bidnija Shooting Ranges with the Cassar Cup, being the last Selection Shoot for World Championship – Shotgun to be held this September in Moscow, Russia.
