Several swimming records set at annual Easter Meeting

This year’s International Easter Swim Meet, held at Tal-Qroqq Swimming Complex, produced another spate of records by Maltese swimmers. There were 11 records in all.

The highlights of this annual event, now in its 20th edition, were the nine records established at age-group level by Neil Muscat and Julian Harding, both of Neptunes. Muscat set five records, including one which was equalled, while Harding re-wrote the books with four marks.

The achievement at national level was that of Edward Caruana Dingli while Kristina Fino improved an age-group record reserved for females.

 

 

Edward Caruana Dingli set a new National Record in the 200m IM 2:14.45. The old record belonged to Andrea Agius – 2:14.46 Jun 2011
