She may not know her times tables, but 7 year old Leah Tanti sure knows how to swim. Small and sassy, this pint-sized tadpole is one big fish in the pool. The youngest swimmer in the last ASA time trails held last Saturday 20th November at the National Pool, Leah is competing for Sirens ASC.

Already at 7 years of age, it is evident that Leah is focused and serious about swimming. After swimming in the women’s 50m butterfly style, she was very happy with her performance, and proudly was a personal best.
Asking for no special treatment, she says, “I’m happy to be here, and I’m going to compete like the others. The coach is happy and she encourages me. I’m the one who critiques myself.”

There is no doubt that this little fish will soon grow up, aiming to swim for Malta. She is now inviting other children out playing to join her and take up swimming as their favourite sports
