Sayitmalta HMS extend their lead upfront

Men’s second division league


Front runners, Sayitmalta HMS, extended their lead at the top of the table to three points following an inspiring win against Swieqi Phoenix Gaming Centre. After their recent victory over La Salle Caccu, HMS produced another resilient display. Swieqi lie at the other end of the table with four points.


Swieqi Phoenix Hotset Ltd defeated Kavallieri RS2 in a close match. The game remained tight throughout the first half.Phoenixshowed their strength to pull clear in the latter stages. Both teams share the same points but Kavallieri are second in the table on goal difference.


In mid table,La Salle leap frogged Luxol St Andrews after beating them by one goal in a nail biting encounter.


With two matches to go, Sayitmalta HMS are in pole position to win the men’s second division league.

Women’s second division league


With a match to go, Kavallieri RS2 are crowned champions for the second season in a row after beating Luxol 29 – 10. Guided by Anthony Xuereb and Luke Zammit, Kavallieri still need to play runners up Aloysians. Should they win this encounter, they end up the season unbeaten.
