San Gwann are joint Section leaders with Pembroke Ath both having 39 points from 15 games. Attard are in sixth position on 19 points from 14 games. The Yellow/Blues enjoyed the lion’s share of wxchanges throughout the game and were more precise in their passing and movements.
The game was only one minute old when Attard keeper Keith Dimech saved the ball to a corner from a shot by Zack Camilleri after a cross from the right by Nickolai Muscat, and at the other end, Gian Borg served Paul toledo with a through ball but Kristen Borg foiled him with a timely clearance.
After Camilleri was fouled on the right flank, Dimech turned the ball to a corner from the free kick by Muscat.
In an Attard attack in the 7th minute they opened the score as Wayne Attard served Toledo with a through pass who scored with a lobbed ball past San Gwann keeper Dean Sciberras.
San Gwann reacted and mounted two actions in a row. Camilleri released Stefan Strojonavic on the right flank who then crossed to Luke Zammit who failed to get his head to the ball when well-placed in the area and Camilleri was fouled on the right flank and the ball was headed away from the free kick by Borg.
In the 17th minute San Gwann levelled matters with a choral move between three players.Camilleri served Andre’ Cachia on the left flank who in turn crossed to Strojonavic who scored with a header from inside the area.
There were only two more actions worthy of note up to the half time whistle as play was confined to midfield. Strojonavic served Luke Zammit with a cross in the area but he missed Attard’s upright and in an Attard attack,Liam Mangion released Toledo on the left flank who crossed the ball in the area but found no takers.
 In the first action after restart, Strojonavic served Camilleri on the right flank and Dimech managed to neutralise the ball from his cross. 
In the 46th minute Attard came very close a second goal when Gian Borg, after beating two defenders on the left flank Sciberras had to dive and save to a corner his effort from the left edge of the area.
San Gwann scored a second goal in the 47th minute when Luke Zammit dribbled past an opponent on the right flank and crossed to Cachia in the area who scored with a close-range shot.
Attard were denied by the wood work in the 48th minute when after Nick Ghio was fouled on the left edge of the area and the ball thumped the upper part of the bar from the free kick by Matthew Cassar and finished out with Sciberras beaten.
In a San Gwann fast attack, Strojonavic served Cachia on the left flank and the ball was cleared to a corner from his cross.
The score became 3-1 in the 61st minute when Camilleri dribbled past an opponent in the goal area and crossed to Strojonavic who shot past Dimech obtaining a personal brace and his side’s third goal.
Attard then mounted the last two actions before the end. Borg was fouled on the right edge of the area and he drove over the bar from the free kick and Cassar served Borg with a side-header pass in the area and Sciberras saved his header.
