San Giljan made a big step forward in their efforts to maintain a strong side in the future when they successfully negotiated a further extension to the contracts of two of their players.

This follows the recent extension of Malta international Andrea Bianchi’s contract who signed for the club until 2015. The two players who recently agreed to the new terms are goalkeeper Dino Camilleri and captain Paul Fava

Fava’s current contract was due to expire at the end of this year and he is now bound with San Giljan until the end of season 2015.

Dino Camilleri’s current contract was due to expire at the end of next year but he now agreed to new terms which will keep him tied to the Balluta Bay club until 2015.

This is a boost for the Ballutta club who will have Matthew Zammit back for the summer league after a two year suspension. Coach Karl Izzo is also set to sign a one year contract extension.

Veteran Claudio Spiteri De Barro is set to join Sirens after a stint with second division champions Marsascala.
