The Royal Malta Yacht Club will be hosting the first weekend Regatta for the 2016 Racing Season between the 19th and 20th March.

Racing will consist of two coastal races, one on Saturday and another on Sunday and crews taking part in both races will be eligible to win the Sir Frances Beaufort Trophy which will be awarded to the best performing boat.

Registrations will be accepted until 17:00hrs on Wednesday 16th March and a Race Briefing for Crews will take place at 19:30hrs on the same day.

All details of the Regatta can be found on the Notice of Race which has been uploaded on the Club’s website  - http://rmyc.org/races/?id=186. A Prize Giving will be held at the Club on Sunday 20th at 16:30hrs.

In the meantime on the Social side, Club members and friends are invited to the Shamrock & Shenanigans Night which will be held at the Club on Saturday 19th March.  An Irish themed buffet will be served throughout the night as well as Guinness and Kilkenny.

“We all know how popular St. Patrick’s feast is and we decided to join in the fun and organise a jam packed weekend for our crews, members and friends. We are grateful for the support the Irish Embassy is giving towards this event, without which this event would not be possible” commented Godwin Zammit, Commodore Royal Malta Yacht Club.
