Robins confirmed Buggie’s Barnsley exit

Barnsley manager Mark Robins has confirmed Daniel Bogdanovic will leave Oakwell when his contract expires in the summer.

The 30-year-old, who was Barnsley’s top scorer in the recent campaign, is out of contract after turning down a new deal earlier in the season. And Robins admits the striker will leave, insisting the club will not be held to ransom by their players.

“We will not be playing second fiddle to any club when it comes to signing players,” he told the club’s official website. “We want players here who want to play for Barnsley and give 100 per cent commitment. We do not want to have a situation where we become a fall-back option whilst players look at other clubs
