The Royal Malta Yacht Club is inviting local sailing clubs to take part in the RMYC Dinghy Regatta, a two day racing weekend taking place between the 10th and 11th September.

Racing, which will be open to a variety of dinghy racing classes which include Optimists, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial, Laser Standard, RS Visions and RS Fevas will take place in Marsamxett Harbour and off Tigne Point. Depending on weather conditions, the RMYC plans to have between four to six windward-leeward races throughout the weekend. A Masters division for those ex-Laser sailors who have moved on from regular dinghy sailing is also expected.

“We are looking forward to giving a warm RMYC welcome to crews taking part in the Dinghy Regatta and strongly encourage sailors, including those who don’t sail much on dinghies any more to return and to be part of this racing weekend”, commented David Anastasi, Rear Commodore Sailing, Royal Malta Yacht Club “The RMYC Dinghy Regatta is the perfect opportunity for crews, not only to experience the Club’s hospitality but also the opportunity to compete against crews from other Clubs”.
