Għat-tieni sena konsekuttiva, uffiċjali Maltin ġew mistiedna jipparteċipaw fil-Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy li ser tintlagħab fi tmiem il-ġimgħa li ġej fi Skytteholms IP, Solna.

L-Elite Development Referees Emanuel Grech u Ismael Barbara, in-National Referee Alex Johnson, u n-National Assistant Referee Christopher Azzopardi, ser jikkontrollaw il-logħob flimkien ma’ referees oħrajn promettenti tal-UEFA kif ukoll oħrajn tal-FIFA mill-Ewropa.

Markus Lejonstad mill-Iżvezja ser ikun id-direttur tar-referees matul it-tornew.

Flimkien ma’ ftehimiet ta’ skambji oħrajn mid-Dipartiment tar-Referees fl-aħħar snin, dan hu eżempju ieħor minn lista t’opportunitajiet li joffri esperjenza fejjieda liż-żgħażagħ promettenti tagħna għall-karrieri futura tagħhom.

Informazzjoni fuq it-tornew

Il-Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy – imsemmija għall-ex President tal-UEFA Lennart Johansson huwa tornew li għalih jiġu mistiedna l-aqwa clubs fl-Ewropa.

Sa mill-ewwel edizzjoni fl-2011, it-tornew maħsub biex jinġiebu flimkien “It-Talenti ta’ llum – l-Istilel t’għada” fi Skytteholms IP fil-belt ta’ Solna, l-Iżvezja. 

L-amministraturi tat-tornew, flimkien mal-organizzaturi, sponsors u staff, ta’ kull sena jħossuhom kburin jagħtu lill-belt ta’ Solna tmiem il-ġimgħa straordinarju, mimli players ambizzjużi u coaches li lesti jesponu l-imħabba tagħhom għal-logħba tal-football.

It-tornew hu organizzat mill-Akkademja tal-klabb tal-ogħla diviżjoni Żvediża AIK Solna.

Maltese Referees to Participate in the Lennart Johansson Academy Trophyin Sweden on  27 To 29 May 2016

For the second year running, Maltese officials have been invited to participate in the Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy to be played this coming weekend in Skytteholms IP, Solna.

Elite Development Referees Emanuel Grech and Ismael Barbara, National Referee Alex Johnson, and National Assistant Referee Christopher Azzopardi will be joined by other talented UEFA and FIFA referees from Europe.

Refereeing director during the tournament will be Markus Lejonstad from Sweden.

Together with other referees’ exchange agreements in recent years by the Malta FA Referees’ Department, this is another in the chain of opportunities which are proving to be a fruitful experience for our young and upcoming match officials’ future careers.

Additional Information on the tournament

The Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy – named after the former UEFA President Lennart Johansson – is an invitational tournament for the best clubs in Europe.

Since the first edition in 2011, the vision of the tournament is to bring the “Talents of today – Stars of tomorrow” to Skytteholms IP in the city of Solna, Sweden. 

The management of the tournament, together with organising partners, sponsors and staff, every year are proud to give the city of Solna an extraordinary weekend, full of ambitious players and coaches who show their love for the game of football.

The organiser of the tournament is Sweden’s first division side AIK Solna’s Youth Academy.
