Rabat Ajax land Jonathan Bajada on loan and more transfer news

Mosta’s Jonathan Bajada is set to link up with his former coach Steve D’Amato at Rabat Ajax on a season-long loan deal.

The former Sirens midfielder’s place at the Charles Abela Stadium had looked increasingly uncertain and he opted to rejoin his former coach at Rabat Ajax. Jonathan Bajada has already made his first training appearance on Saturday morning.

Rabat Ajax have been linked with a summer swoop for Valletta defender Yessous Camilleri as coach Steve DÁmato continues to build his squad.

The Rabat Ajax committee is now keen to link up with the former Balzan FC player with whom he played for Rabat Ajax back in season 2010/2011, with our sources confirm the former under 21 international stopper is keen to re-join the Magpies.

Promising Borg heading to Sliema Wanderers

Sliema Wanderers confirmed the signing of Malta international defender Jacob Borg. He had spent some time training with Valletta on trial last month. The 21-year-old has been signed on a one year contract after he was released by Balzan FC.

Borg naturally plays as a right back but can operate as a right-winger as well. The young player started his career joining the youth team at Gold Coast United’s, where he made his way up the ranks, soon after he moved to Illawarra Premier League club Dapto Dandaloo United, but frustration at a lack of higher opportunities eventually drove him to Balzan FC.

Sliema Wanderers are ready to let a trio of players leave this summer, according to president Kieth Perry. The President confirmed with sportinmalta.com that youngsters Miguel Ciantar Luca Martinelli and Laudisi will be allowed to leave on loan. All three have clubs looking for their services, but appear to have no future at Sliema Wanderers – for next season, at least.

Miguel Ciantar had been twice on loan during his career as he played for Msida St Joseph and Balzan FC, while Luca Martinelli also played for Melita and Mosta FC on loan during his career.

Floriana ready to step-up their pursuit a quartet of targets 

Sportinmalta.com understands that Floriana has almost reached an agreement to sign Hibernians’ Steve Pisani on loan from Hibernians in exchange with promising goalkeeper Jurgen Borg.
