Qormi too strong for Zejtun

Qormi were the better outfit during the game and fully deserved the verdict. They dominated the first period and Zejtun improved after the resumption as they created more actions than the first period during which they narrowed the gap twice. 
Following this game Qormi are in third palce on 30 points from 15 games while Zejtun are in bottom placing on 3 points also from 15 games
After only five minutes Qormi took the lead when Jurgen Sciriha entered the aea after dribbling past an opponent and scored with a hard diagonal shot past Zejtun keeper Milhal Magri.
In another two actions by Qormi,Shawn Pace received the ball from a long drop-kick by keeper Liam Scicluna and after dribbling past an opponent on the right flank he served Luke Farrugia with a cross in the area but he drove over the bar and Sciriha served Kristian Sammut in the area and his shot was cleared to a corner.
In the first action by Zejtun Ismael Grech won a loose ball on the left flank and Scicluna saved hsi effort from outside the area.
In the 19th minute Qormi were denied by the wood work when Pace was fouled outside the area and from the free kick by Sciriha the ball thumped the bar with Magri beaten and it was cleared away.
Qormi doubled their lead in the 20th minute when Sciriha was fouled outside the area and Matthew Sciberras scored with a hard rising shot from the resultant free kick.
In another action by Zejtun Isaac Baldacchino released Mathias Borg Belluci in the area and after Scicluna partly saved his shot the ball was cleared away to safety and at the other end Sciriha served Luke Farrugia in the area and Magri foiled him by diving at his feet to smother the ball.
In the last action before the break Ronaldo Cutajar was fouled on the right flank and Qormi keeper Liam Scicluna was forced to dive and save to a corner the free kick shot by Andrea Abela.
Zejtun created the first action after the restart as Cutajar was fouled outside the area and after Scicluna palmed the ball away from the free kick by Abela, Grech drove out from the loose ball.
The score became 3-0 in the 45th minute after a choral move between three players. Wallace Marmara released Pace in the area and after the ball hit the bar from his hard drive Gilfred Gatt was on hand to head the ball in the net.
Qormi resumed with their pressing and scored a fourth goal in the 51st minute as Marmara released Sciriha in the area and he netted with a low shot.
In the 53rd minute Qormi made it 5-0 after another choral move between three players. Farrugia served Gatt with a through ball, the latter returned the compliment to Gatt in the area who scored wit a hard diagonal drive.
Zejtun reduced the gap in the 55th minute when Cliven Farrugia was served with a long and high pass from a free kick in his own half and after entering the area past an opponent scored with a low shot, and five minutes later they scored a second goal as Baldacchino served Farrugia in the area and he scroed with a hard low drive.
Three minutes before the end of normal time Pace served Sciriha with a cross from the left flank and Magri saved his close-range shot by diving and turning the ball to a corner.
