Pieta qualified to contest the Semi final against Birzebbuga who won 2-0 against Dingli S. The game will be played on Wednesday 1 June at Luxol Ground and kicks off at 7.30 p.m.

Pieta created the first actiom when Terance Agius dribbled past an opponent and Stripes keeper Jonathan Martinelli saved his effort from outside the area, and at the other end, Ayrton Mifsud served Luke Montebello in the area and Pieta keeper Dylan Cacciatolo saved his header.

Birkirkara were reduced to ten men in the 11th minute when Antoine Borg was shown the yellow card for a foul on Agius and as he argued with the official he was shown the red card.

Montebello was then foiuled on the right flank and Cacciatolo saved the free kick shot by Dylan Aquilina.

In another action by Pieta Agius served ZAchary Gatt on the left flank and Martinelli neutralised the ball from his cross.

In the 29th minute Pieta came very close to open the score. Gatt served Cain Attard with a cross from the left who then crossed to Rodney Refalo in the area but he headed out when well placed.

Four minutes before the break Pieta opened the score when Attard dribbled past an opponent on the left flank and served Refalo in the area who scored with a low shot.

In the first action after the restart Agius pounced on a loose ball outside the area but he missed the upright from his shot.

Birkirkara came close an equaliser in the 46th minute. Ryan Camenzuli was fouled on the right flank and the same player floated a perfect ball in the area from the free kick and Montebello failed to get his head to the ball to apply the killer touch.

Pieta doubled the score in the 59th minute when Refalo dribbled past a defender on the laeft flank and served Attard with a cross in the area who scored with a rising shot.

Montebello was again fouled outside the area and Cacciatolo partly saved the free kick shot by Aden Galea and the ball was somehow cleared to safety and minutes later Roderick Taliana was fouled outside the area, the ball was partly cleared from the free kick shot by Camenzuli and Cacciatolo had to dive and save the rebound shot by the same player.

In the second minute of added time Pieta scored their third goal when Agius sewrved Tyrone Grech in the area and scored with a low shot despite harassed by two Stripes defenders.
