Paul Formosa Wins The QCSC Trophy

Paul Formosa won the QCSC Trap Trophy at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club, while newcomer Justin Borg secured the second highest position on the podium as he finished ahead of George Mifsud, who had to settle for third place overall.

This Event was organised on two qualification rounds of 25 clay targets each, where the six highest ranked shooters advanced to the Final and shot in another five knockout stages from a single shot.

The Finals results were:

  1. 1st Paul Formosa 18/25 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 9/10, total score 39/50
  2. 2nd Justin Borg 18/25 + 2/5 + 5/5 + 5/5 + 5/10, total score 35/50
  3. 3rd George Mifsud 18/25 + 3/5 + 4/5 + 4/5, total score 29/40
  4. 4th Jean Pierre Mifsud 17/25 + 3/5 + 2/5, total score 22/35
  5. 5th Rudolph Zammit 15/25 + 1/5, total score 16/30
  6. 6th Stephen Aquilina 10/25, total score 10/25

The top three Shooters in their respective classes concluded their two qualification rounds with the following scores;

Class A

1st Paul Formosa 47/50

2nd George Mifsud 43/50

3rd Nicky Carabott 38/50

Class B

1st Jean Pierre Mifsud 42/50

2nd Rudolph Zammit 40/50 (Count Back Rule)

3rd Stephen Aquilina 40/50

Class C

1st Justin Borg 44/50

2nd Chris Vella 38/50

3rd Charles Demanuele 37/50

The MSSF Trap Programme will continue on Sunday 07 May 2017 at the Bidnija Shooting Ranges with the L T P Trophy.
